oh so sweet

Happy boy! Most of the smiles are when the cat came in to see what was going on. Look at those rolls. I can barely get you to sit in the tub long enough to wash you. You still love the water though and fuss sometimes when I take you out.

Boys, boys and more boys! I got the camera out just in time but had it on auto so the focus was off with my shallow dof. I still love them!

Plus.... the final shot is Ash trying to get his chubby chubby arms in the closed toy bins. LOVE

watermelon!

A million and one shots of you eating watermelon. You love it. Eat it so quickly and so excitedly. Reminds me to go to the grocery store tomorrow.

Ash update

Poor boy doesn't have the same influx of posts as Miles' did at this age. I have to say that the posts you have document things better. At least the photos are. I was just diving into photography when Miles was born and look back at the shots with so much love because they are of my baby but it is hard to ignore how different my pictures are today. Hard work pays off :)

A little bit about what you are up to

- you smile a ton
- a baby of observation, you are always watching and taking things in.
- starting to cruise and tackle the stairs with confidence
- eat finger food and everything off my plate (and miles which he isn't the biggest fan of)
- you sleep almost through the night only to wake around 4 or 5 am to eat and then back you go
- 2 naps still but hoping to move you to 1 very soon
- no teeth yet!
- you love to cuddle into me when I hold you. it melts me
- when you drink your milk (only about 3 times a day now phew!)  you always stick your feet in my face and pull at my lips or hands.
- when I come in to get you from your crib you look at me, smile and then look behind me hoping to see the cat. Most of the time she is right behind me

Dog Park

First time visiting a dog park without the mrs.  Also the first time taking two kids solo to the dog park. Success!  Roscoe was a champ and both the kids were as well. Miles just wanted to turn the water on for the pups and toss balls. Ash could stare at them playing all day.  After some pinkberry we headed home.

Nap

You are always so happy to see me as I come in after a nap. You kick, shake and giggle.  The afternoon nap is always shorter. The light is on the other side of the house so your room is cool by this time of day. I open the door and the sun trickles in. You were looking for the cat as your face was still smushy and red from sleeping on it. You smiled at me but mostly you were looking for kitty to sweep in and say hi.  The cat loves you. She jumps on my lap when you are nursing just to be close. Yesterday all 3 of us sat in the chair and read a book. The cat lets you grab her and pet her purring the whole time. Most people would be shocked to hear this as the cat doesn't like everyone but I think she just knows you are a sweet soul.
